Menu: January 9th-14th

I promised I would post my weekly menus.  Here is the first.  I go shopping after I have made out the menu for the week or weeks.  Last night I only went shopping for one week.  Before you ask, yes, my children will eat what I serve.  My 7 year old daughter is getting  older and more vocal about her likes and dislikes, but after she complains about the meal, shen then eats it.

Sunday:  Crockpot Corned Beef, Potatoes, Cabbage
Monday:  Sloppy Joes, Fries, Apple Sauce
Tuesday:  Baked Pork Loin with Jezebell Sauce, Broccoli, Potatoes
Wendesday:  Reubans (with leftover Corned Beef), Tomato Soup
Thursday:  Poppy Seed Ham Biscuts and Potato Soup
Friday:  Homemade Lasagna, Salad, Bread
Saturday:  Crockpot Pinto Beans, Cornbread (my grandfather's cornbread recipe)

As you will see in upcoming posts, I do not use leftovers as a meal.  My husband and I rely on leftovers for our lunches at work.  This saves a tremendous amount of money!  Since I'm a working mom, who works 31 hours a week, I don't have lots of time to cook.  I LOVE my crockpot and use it often.  I will probably only be sharing a recipe or two each week.  If I do not list the recipe for something and you would like to know who it is made, please let me know and I will share.

this is awesome rebba i have always wanted to follow someone on a blog but i have never got into them but now that you have one i will def try to follow you as much as possible. I love that you have grown so much as a women, mother and a person since we were young its crazy looking at us now. We remind us so much of our mothers now and were acting more like them everyday. I def. have to say i was not the cooking type until i moved off campus ahahah now i really am starting to like it a lot, especially experimenting with new recipes. John loves to eat so i have to try to keep him happy lol I actually cooked a pot roast today in the crock pot and it turned out great with cabbage twice backed potatoes and rolls. I also am a bargain shopper even w/o all the kids i need all i can get. We tend to shop at Food Lion b/c its always the closest store to our apartment and sometimes walmart but not too often. Let me know the deals for kroger b/c we definitely need to take advantage of the gas deals!!

Oh I love that you reused the corn beef for Reuben they are absolutely great!! I have become a Reuben connoisseur since I think I had the best one from this delicatessen in DC. So i have been trying them everywhere I go now and I even made one myself the other day wasn't as good as the restaurant but still good but now I have all this sauerkraut and nothing to do with it any suggestions?? Oh and another question how you got 4 kids and time to put your menu on a blog and keep up with it??? I just don't know how you do it girl.
