We have not had a home phone for almost 4 years. My husband and I made the decision tonight to get a home phone. We did not want another bill, but after much consideration we decided this was the best thing to do.
When I approve foster and adoptive homes, it is a requirement that they have a home phone for emergencies. I think it's crazy that I'm holding the foster and adoptive homes to higher standard than my home! Now that my children are old enough to use the telephone, they need to be able to call 911 if there was an emergency and I can tell you that my kids would have no idea how to work an android cell phone! So as of Monday, we will be back to having a home phone! I must say I'm excited.
